At Scientific Magnetics, we offer standard and tailor-made superconducting magnet and cryogenic solutions. Whether you require a simple solenoid in a bath cryostat or a superconducting magnet and cryogenic system with new or unusual features, you should be talking to us.

Working from your detailed technical specification or performance requirements, we can develop a magnet system from the initial geometry of the coils, through design, to assembly, test and commissioning.

We manufacture magnets from both low-temperature and high-temperature superconductor, in circular and non-circular geometries.

We design and build cryostats operating at temperatures down to 0.3 K, including normal and superfluid helium systems, zero boil-off (recondensing) and cryogen-free magnet systems.

Our customers are located throughout the world, and include companies such as Rolls Royce, Siemens and Astrium, together with research institutes including CERN, ETH Zurich, GSI Darmstadt and the Jefferson Laboratory in Newport News, Virginia.
